Back Lot Films, Inc. has produced and distributed a wide range of productions since 1993. Founded by filmmaker Bill Millios, the company is based in southern New Hampshire and works with clients throughout the New England area.
Back Lot has completed corporate digital video productions for companies such as the New Hampshire Department of Education, Pike Industries, Redimix Companies, Community Health Institute, Globe Manufacturing, Saint-Gobain and Solutions to Overpopulation of Pets.
The company’s two feature-length films, Old Man Dogs (1997) and Dangerous Crosswinds (2005) were well-received in Variety, The Boston Globe and America Online and screened at theaters throughout New England. Other credits include Killing Our Best Friends – The Crisis of Pet Overpopulation (1994), Bottled Words (1995) and Stories from Mount Washington (2019).
HippoPress wrote that “Bill Millios has earned a reputation as one of the state’s leading documentary and commercial filmmakers.” Millios has taught digital video production at Southern New Hampshire University and is a co-author of the book, The Digital Filmmaking Workshops: Producing, Marketing, and Screening Your Independent Feature-Length Film. His collection of short stories, The Winter Thaw, will also soon be released.
